After the Bombay High Court upheld reservation for Marathas, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has called for quotas for Muslims and the state's Dhangar community. Chavan also credited the Congress for spearheading the cause of Maratha quota. "We only hope that with this Maratha reservation, the other two reservations, which are still being prolonged by the present govt: reservations for Dhangar and Muslim communities. If both these issues are also resolved, there will be communal harmony in the entire state. There won't be a feeling that a certain community was left out," Chavan said.
