After racist messages were sent to England's Black footballers on social media following the country’s defeat in Euro 2020 final, UK has warned tech platforms they must take action or they would face consequences.
At least three Black players have been subjected to online racist abuse since the final on Sunday night. The Times reported that the government wants the platforms to provide details of those who made racially abusive comments.
Marcus Rashford also raised the issue via a social media post said that he is sorry for his crucial penalty miss that denied his country their maiden silverware in 55 years but he isn't sorry for his roots while targetting those who racially abused him.
