Afghanistan resume domestic cricket despite Covid-19 fear

Afghanistan's domestic T20 league started in Kabul on Sunday despite safety fears over Covid-19 pandemic. There were fans in the stands as social distancing was not followed but the Afghan Cricket Board confirmed that the matches were being held in accordance to the rules set by the World Health Organisation. Afghanistan's health ministry has confirmed that the country has seen over 38,000 positive cases of Covid-19 with more than 1400 deaths so far. Although many believe that the exact figure of the total infections is much more than the official numbers.
