Afghanistan: attack on Shia minorities continues, over 35 killed in an explosion

A series of bomb blasts tore through a Shia mosque in the southern city of Kandahar killing at least 37 people and causing serious injuries to 31 people.

TOLO News reported that three back-to-back explosions hit Imam Bargah mosque, which is also the biggest mosque in Kandahar causing high casualties.

The explosions are the latest in a series of attacks targeting the Muslim minority community of Shias. Last Friday, over 80 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack on Shia mosque during prayers in Kunduz
