Adani takes over Mumbai Airport from GVK, Becomes largest airport operator in India

Ready for another big take off the Adani Group has completed the acquisition of Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) from GVK and now boasts of controlling 7 airports as India's largest airport operator. 

Adani, India's largest airport infrastructure company controls 25% of passenger footfall and over one third of all air-bound cargo across the country. 

Adani Airport Holdings Limited will also begin the construction of the Navi Mumbai International Airport next month and aims to have the new international airport commissioned in 2024, the group stated.
