Accused in 2002 Akshardham temple attack arrested in Gujarat

The Gujarat police has apprehended an accused in the 2002 Akshardham temple attack case. News agency ANI reported that accused Mohammed Farooq Shaikh was arrested by the Ahmedabad Crime Branch at the airport. Two armed Lashkar operatives had attacked the temple in Gandhinagar on the 24th of September 2002, killing 30 people and injuring 80 others.
