In a bizzarre feat, an Austrian extreme athlete broke his own world record by spending over two and a half hours in a custom-made cabinet filled with ice. The box was filled with over 200 kilos of ice, reaching up to his shoulders.
Dressed in a pair of swimming trunks, Josef Koeberl managed to stand for 2 hours, 30 minutes and 57 seconds inside the ice box, surpassing his own previous record achieved in 2019 by over 20 minutes.
A large crowd gathered in Melk to watch the 'chilling' feat titled 'the longest full body contact with ice cubes'. Koeberl stated that he derived strength from positive emotions to fight the pain.
