87-year old Japanese wins architecture's highest honour

The 46th Pritzker Prize of 2019 has been bestowed upon Japan's Arata Isozaki, an 87-year-old post war architect. The 8th Japanese person to win this award, the architect is known for his exemplary global approach to architecture. Some of his most renowned works include the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the Allianz Tower in Milan, and the Kyoto Concert Hall. Equivalent to the Nobel Prize in architecture, the Pritzker Prize winner gets a $100,000 in cash prize and a bronze medallion.
