71-year-old French man to float across the Atlantic in a barrel!

Is it possible to travel from the Atlantic ocean to the Caribbean in a floating barrel? A 71-year-old French man hopes to cover 4,500 km in three months just powered by ocean currents. He spent months crafting a large, barrel-shaped capsule and left the Canary Islands in Spain on Wednesday. According to AFP, he's currently travelling at two or three kilometers per hour. The vessel has a small kitchen along with a bed.
