59 Chinese apps including TikTok, PUBG Mobile permanently banned

Reports say that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in India has permanently banned a total of 59 apps from Chinese companies, including TikTok and WeChat.

The apps in question were banned by the government in June last year, with reports now saying the ban has been made permanent.

According to reports, the government was not satisfied with the way the firms were collecting and using data from Indian citizens that used the apps.
