The 31st edition of the Konark Dance Festival began in Odisha on the 1st of December keeping Covid-19 protocols in mind.
The stunning Sun Temple in Konark was the backdrop of several cultural performances. The festival offers insights into some of the rich traditions of India and forms of classical dance. The five day festival, however, has been restricted to only 600 spectators this year.
The International Sand Art Festival also kick-started on the Chandrabhaga beach in Odisha. The event this year has artists participating only from India. Visitors are allowed after thermal scanning and sanitising their hands.
