3 islands in the Andaman are getting a new name

To mark the 75th anniversary of the day freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose hoisted the tricolour at Port Blair, the government has decided to rename the 3 major islands in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago. Havelock will be called Swaraj Dweep, Ross island will now be Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island and Neil island will be known as Shaheed Dweep island. The formal announcement will be made on 30th December by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Port Blair.
