Archaeologists in China's Sichuan province have discovered a 3,000-year-old gold mask at an archaeological site.
China's National Cultural Heritage Administration shared that the ceremonial mask weighs 280 grams and is estimated to be made from 84% gold.
The remains of the mask are among 500 other items discovered from 6 newly found "sacrificial pits".
The items discovered will provide information on the ancient Shu state, which ruled the western Sichuan basin for a long time.
