A gold medallist, Saima is no ordinary fitness enthusiast. She says she was inspired by her husband, who is also a power-lifter.
At the 4th Kashmir Powerlifting, Benchpress, and Deadlift Championship in December, Saima lifted 255 kgs, bagging the Gold medal.
And Saima hasn't looked back since. Breaking away from societal taboos, Saima now works as a trainer for women while honing her skills.
The 27-year-old is a mother to a baby girl. She says even spine-related complications after the delivery didn't deter her from pursuing her dream.
