At least 14 people were killed after a boat capsized in Chambal river Rajasthan's Kota district on Wednesday morning. The boat was carrying 40 devotees to a temple in Indergarh area. District Collector Ujjawal Singh Rathore said the villagers of Gothda Kala were going to Kamleshwar Dham across the Chambal River when the boat capsized near Khatoli. A State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team reached the spot to help with the rescue work. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot condoled the unfortunate deaths and announced a compensation of rupees 1 lakhs each to next of the kin of the people who died in the boat capsize incident.
