In a heart wrenching incident, a 12-year-old girl died after falling from ninth floor of a Ghaziabad building while trying to save her pet puppy.
Reports said that the class 7 student, was playing with her pet dog inside her house, when it got stuck in the balcony net. The girl tried to free the dog from the net, but lost her balance and fell on the ground along with the puppy.

The incident happened on Wednesday noon at Gaur Homes housing society in Ghaziabad, police said.
The girl's mother rushed out after she heard noise only to find her daughter lying in a pool of blood on the ground. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, but die of her injuries.
This is the second such incident in NCR. On Monday, a one-year-old died on his birthday in Greater Noida near Delhi after falling from the 12th floor.
